St. Maria Goretti, Virgin and Martyr
Saint Maria Goretti is remembered as one of the youngest figures ever canonized by the Church. At just eleven years old, she bravely upheld her purity against an attacker, a stand that led to her untimely death. Her exceptional act of forgiving her perpetrator sparked a profound conversion in him, underscoring the transformative power of mercy over vengeance. Her memory is cherished each year on July 6, honoring her legacy of unwavering faith and forgiveness.
