It probes ideas such as the true nature of everyday objects and the essence of concepts like color.
In contrast to empirical science, which builds knowledge on observation and experimentation, metaphysics relies solely on reasoning. Techniques like reductio ad absurdum are employed to test ideas by illustrating the absurd consequences that arise when an assumption is denied. This approach forces us to critically analyze the foundations of our understanding.
