St. Maria Goretti, Virgin and Martyr
Maria Goretti stands as one of the youngest canonized saints of the Church. At just eleven years old, she bravely defended her purity against the man who ultimately ended her life. Remarkably, her compassionate act of forgiving her attacker sparked a profound conversion in him—a powerful testament to the transformative nature of forgiveness even in the face of tragedy. Every year, her memory is honored on July 6, celebrating the enduring spirit of mercy and faith.
