Brandon Lake Dominates K-LOVE Fan Awards

Brandon Lake Triumphs at K-LOVE Fan Awards, Urges a Spirit of Revival

Christian music stars Brandon Lake, for KING + COUNTRY, and CeCe Winans shined at the 12th annual K-LOVE Fan Awards, hosted recently at the Grand Ole Opry House. Lake emerged as a standout winner, claiming awards in all four of his nominated categories.

The South Carolina worship leader made history by securing his first Artist of the Year title while also celebrating his third Male Artist of the Year win. In addition, he earned awards for Worship Song of the Year with “That’s Who I Praise” and Song of the Year for his collaboration with Jelly Roll on “Hard Fought Hallelujah.”

During his acceptance speech for Song of the Year, the 34-year-old artist described Jelly Roll as his “brother” and recalled the moment of connection that led to their collaboration. He explained how Jelly Roll had been waiting for a song like the one they created together, noting that their joint performance allowed him to openly express his faith in new ways.

Lake stressed that revival does not require a grand platform or a microphone. Instead, he encouraged everyone to respond to the needs around them by being the caring presence and support that others might need. “You might be the closest thing to Jesus someone will ever experience,” he remarked, urging his fans to actively live out their faith in everyday life.

With nine wins overall, Lake now stands alongside top contenders in K-LOVE Fan Awards history. “Hard Fought Hallelujah,” co-written with a team of noted collaborators, has maintained a strong presence on national charts for several months.

In a candid moment on stage, Lake admitted that stepping into his role does not always come easily. “I’m scared every single day,” he confessed, emphasizing that despite his apprehensions, he finds comfort knowing that God is always by his side. He challenged those in attendance—and watching—to contribute to a collective movement of revival across the nation.

Expressing his gratitude, Lake thanked his fans for their unwavering support, recognizing every vote, every show attendance, and every person who has played or shared his music. His heartfelt message resonated as he closed his remarks with deep appreciation for both his audience and his faith.

During the ceremony, Jelly Roll also shared his excitement in a video message. He expressed his admiration and relief at winning the award, celebrating how a journey from hardship can lead to moments of divine honor, and underscored the idea that only God could orchestrate such a turnaround.

Other Highlights from the Celebration

The night was filled with many memorable moments. The Australian duo for KING + COUNTRY won their 19th trophy and received their seventh Group of the Year award. In his victory speech, Luke Smallbone inspired fellow musicians to passionately dedicate themselves to their craft and led a rousing rendition of “Amazing Grace.”

Gospel icon CeCe Winans received her inaugural win as Female Artist of the Year, while breakout talent Leanna Crawford celebrated her first chart-topping single with “Still Waters (Psalm 23).”

The ceremony, hosted by an impressive lineup of Christian music artists, featured 17 live performances. Emerging talents, including Elevation Rhythm, Jamie MacDonald, Patrick Mayberry, and Megan Woods, performed alongside established acts. Notable moments included Jon Reddick’s performance of his hit “No Fear” with We The Kingdom and a surprise duet with TobyMac, which kicked off the event with an energizing performance.

Other live moments included new releases such as Jeremy Camp’s lead single from his upcoming album, a worship blend by Mac Powell with Matt Maher and Steve Hindalong, and classic songs reimagined for special projects by renowned artists.

Beyond the musical achievements, the event also recognized excellence in other media categories. Matthew West garnered his third award for Book Impact through his memoir, while honors were given for film, television, podcast, and even sports. These diverse accolades underscored the far-reaching influence of those dedicated to inspiring messages through various platforms.

The 12th annual K-LOVE Fan Awards not only celebrated musical accomplishments but also highlighted the broader impact of faith-driven art. The evening served as a reminder of the power of perseverance, humility, and the transformative potential of spreading hope and love in everyday acts.
