Maria Goretti is remembered as one of the Church’s youngest canonized saints. At just eleven years old, she courageously defended her purity against the man who ultimately took her life. Her profound act of forgiveness inspired a remarkable change in her attacker, leading to his conversion.
Her legacy is celebrated annually on July 6.
